I have always lived in Nantes. Walking down its streets, its embankments and alleys, I have always dreamed of having a camera instead of eyes. The city landscape has the power to make you feel like you were in a movie. Based on video recordings, I have developed a series of still images from different places in Nantes. Using lettering to give a cinematographic style of reading (titles, subtitles), I propose my vision of the city setting frames as extracts from nonexistent movies. Placing these screenshots at the heart of the urban environment, I share my impression of the city through the medium of billposting. My project allows the inhabitants of Nantes to rediscover places they know, making them believe for a short while that their city may have been the backdrop to hidden fictions.
